Relief Sent By Watchful Providence

From the book, The Hand that Intervenes by William A Spicer

Summarised by Felix Fred

There was a man in the 19th century named Dr. P.A. de Forest. He was the superintendent of Lake Geneva Sanitarium. While a student, he started off not having enough funds to take him through school. He made a vow to God that if He saw him through, he would devote himself to God's service as a medical missionary and the Lord did see him through.

As he laboured as a medical missionary he was not able to support his wife and two children. Things were hard, but God proved faithful. Yet it was so bad that their garments were breaking down so much so that his wife had no shoes to go to church for the coming Sabbath.

That Friday night, he dreamt and was instructed to go meet a Sister. He shared the dream with his wife and decided to act upon it the coming Sunday. He went and his faith was amply rewarded! The Sister's brother had come visiting, and after Bro de Forest shared what he did, being a missionary, this brother gave him a pile of clothes! He went home rejoicing.

EATING THE WORD

by fawehinmi Oluwatobi

How can we get the best from our study of the Bible in order to hear God speaking to our hearts? Firstly, we must pray before we begin reading and studying.

Next, we find another thought in the following quotation: There is nothing more calculated to strengthen the intellect than the study of the Scriptures. No other book is so potent to elevate the thoughts, to give vigor to the faculties, as the broad, ennobling truths of the Bible. If God's word were studied as it should be, men would have a breadth of mind, a nobility of character, and a stability of purpose rarely seen in these times. Steps to Christ 90.1

The emboldened, italicised and under lined clause indicates that there is a way to study the Bible. In Isaiah 28:9,10, they say to study “precept upon precept ” and “ line upon line. ” This implies going step by step, command being built upon command and verse by verse. Consider the following quotations:

''But there is but little benefit derived from a hasty reading of the Scriptures. One may read the whole Bible through and yet fail to see its beauty or comprehend its deep and hidden meaning.''

One passage studied until its significance is clear to the mind and its relation to the plan of salvation is evident, is of more value than the perusal of many chapters with no definite purpose in view and no positive instruction gained.’’ Steps to Christ 90.2

In daily study the verse-by-verse method is often most helpful. Let the student take one verse, and concentrate the mind on ascertaining the thought that God has put into that verse for him, and then dwell upon the thought until it becomes his own. One passage thus studied until its significance is clear is of more value than the perusal of many chapters with no definite purpose in view and no positive instruction gained. Education 189.4

Natural Ways to Restore Gut (Stomach) Health

by Marian Atolagbe

We can learn some amazing contributions of the bacteria in our stomach to health and disease. Plus there are scientifically validated natural remedies that may improve health in just a few days!

This write - up is from Wildwood Lifestyle Center Newsletter, Special Issue: On Improving Your Mental Health and Gut- Mood Connections. “Twelve Natural Ways to Improve Gut Health”

By Elizabeth Jane Hall and Poliana V. Vale, MD

Your gut provides a home for trillions of bacteria. So far there are 2,000 known species of gut bacteria. The contributions of the gut microflora are astounding for they affect nutrient uptake, metabolism, body clocks, carcinogen detoxification, immune responses, chronic inflammation, and mental health! The proper balance, composition, and a healthful diversity of gut bacteria are necessary for favorable immune responses and optimal health. Imbalance that favors unfriendly bacteria over friendly germs triggers strong immune and inflammatory processes. Good Germs Beneficial bacteria release useful byproducts that protect your health and lower your risk for colon cancer, atherosclerosis, and inflammatory conditions. They also protect your gut from infections, produce some nutrients, release certain neurotransmitters such as dopamine and serotonin, and affect our sleep.

Germ Warfare

Unfriendly gut bacteria, however, release toxins and inflammatory agents that disrupt the gut barriers. Once inside the blood, these inflammatory compounds and toxins contribute to the development of conditions such as atherosclerosis, hypertension, allergies, diabetes, obesity, inflammatory bowel diseases (Crohn’s, celiac, ulcerative colitis), lung problems, anxiety, and depression.

Could Your Gut Impact Your Blood Pressure? What Shapes Gut Bacteria?

Every individual microbiome is different and develops because of genetic, environmental, lifestyle, and dietary factors to which we are exposed. So, how do we encourage the population of good germs and reduce the number of unwanted ones? Whole, Nutrient Dense Plant Foods Diets that are high in whole plant foods–fruits, vegetables, legumes, and whole grains–and low in added sugar and saturated and trans fats– stimulate the proliferation of beneficial bacteria such as those that have anti-inflammatory properties. In this aspect, liberal amounts of raw fruits and vegetables are particularly useful in building healthy gut microflora. Soluble fiber fights inflammation linked to obesity-related conditions and improves immunity.

Additionally, soluble fiber reduces the antibiotic–resistant microbes in the gut. Legumes, avocadoes, sweet potatoes, peas, carrots, apricots, nectarines, oranges, apples berries, oats, barley, flaxseeds, and chia seeds are good sources of soluble fiber. In contrast, a poor-quality or Western diet (rich in sugar, animal products, salt, processed foods, and refined carbohydrates) is linked to more disease-causing bacteria. One such species of bacteria is Fusobacteria which has been linked to colorectal cancer.

Great Carbs

Good carbs boost gut health. While it is true that high sugar, fat-rich, and refined products promote the population of unfriendly bacteria in the gut, the keto and low carb diets miss the important contributions that result from eating resistant starches! Whole grains and legumes contain resistant starches that are not fully digested in the stomach and small intestine. Consequently, they are not absorbed. Resistant starches, like soluble fiber, feed the friendly bacteria in your intestines, having a positive effect on the distribution and composition of bacteria as well as their number. These bacteria produce useful byproducts from resistant starches to curtail inflammation and lower the risk for chronic diseases. Another advantage of eating resistant starches from whole grains and legumes is that they improve your cells’ ability to respond to insulin and can help to reverse insulin resistance. This serious condition itself increases the risk of cardiovascular diseases and eventually may lead to diabetes. An elevated blood sugar level itself makes the gut barrier more permeable so that it leaks out toxins and inflammatory compounds. Another advantage: Most prebiotics are oligosaccharides (carbohydrates that have a small number of monosaccharides) and help to maintain the balance of gut microflora in favor of friendly bacteria. A prebiotic is non-digestible carbohydrate that not only feeds good bacteria but it feeds probiotics too. Prebiotics selectively work on a limited number of gut germs. Asparagus, artichokes, barley, rye, lentils, onions, chicory, garlic, leeks, and bananas are good sources of oligosaccharides.

To be continued.

Trust In The Lord

by Damilola Dada

Since his return from vacation back into the country, the President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu has continued to host various political leaders across the country visiting his home in Abuja. During these visits the President-elect never forgets to re-assure Nigerians of his commitment to deliver good governance by making sure the average Nigerian gets to experience a working government. He states that the promise of the renewed hope he made to Nigerians is one he is looking to fulfill and constant reassurances aren’t afar off, in spite of the failed promises from his predecessors. This seems to be a recurring trend among the political leaders. In the same vein, the Creator of the heavens and the earth daily reminds the inhabitants of the earth and all who ponder upon the inspired word of God of the various promises He has for those who put their faith in Him. These promises are sure to come to pass, never failing and freely given to all who sincerely desire them.

We see some of them, In times of trials when things seem to be difficult and fear begins to grip the soul, the Lord says in Isaiah 41:10 “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” When there be wars and rumours of wars, unrest, panic, crisis, terrible news He promises perfect peace to as many who place trust in His strength in Isaiah 26:3-4 “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:” In times when seeking directions and uncertainty fills the heart still there remains the promise in Psalm 32:8 “I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.” In times of need, rather than fret and rely on our strength, He bids us in Matthew 21:22 “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” As long as we don’t ask amiss, the promise is sure to be fulfilled. When the burden of sin weighs down and the soul becomes heavy with regret, rather than distance ourselves we are promised mercy when we run to the Lord for forgiveness in 1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

Testimony Corner: Radiant Skin

by victor Chikaleke

Some time ago - actually up until the very recent past - I used to have very dry and rough skin. It became a matter of concern to me. I wondered why it was so. For a long time, even from childhood, I had had this problem but it wasn't as bad as it ultimately became a few months or years ago. I saw I needed to solve this problem. So what did I do? I tried different options. I got a 'good' body cream with collagen which I was told helps to moisturize the skin. But this didn't work. I decided to go natural. So what did I do this time? I bought baby Vaseline thinking its natural petroleum oil will do the magic, but this also did not work. I tried Shea Butter (which the Yoruba call ori) but this also did not work. In fact, this one seemed to aggravate the matter because I applied it wrongly. As I began to learn the truth about Health Reform, I saw that to have a healthy skin, I must be putting the right things into my body. So far I had been focusing on what I put ON my body and not on what I put IN my body. I realized that a healthy and well moisturized skin is dependent on not only one factor but on a chain of factors. This realization marked a new beginning in my life.

What is this chain of factors I discovered? It is called the 8 Laws of Health acronymed - NEW START. I will briefly share on how my reform in the N-E-W became the beginning of the restoration of my radiant black skin.

1. Nutrition: In the past, I used to be very undernourished or malnourished due to my poor diet. But when I began eating very healthy plant-based meals consisting of whole grains, wholesome fruits, nuts and vegetables (home-grown), I saw changes. These became my daily meal. The essential nutrients in these foods which contribute immensely to the health of the body had been lacking in my skin cells and this had made the skin dry and rough. My body was begging for essential nutrients (vitamins and minerals) but instead of giving it those, I kept loading it with junks.

2. Exercise: In the past, I used to work under the hot sun for several hours without any protection for my face. I didn't realize that I had been scorching my skin and worsening its condition. When I changed environment, I began gardening and farm work in a more intelligent way; working early in the cool of the morning and putting on a hat if I had to remain under the sun. By the way, I just got a larger hat!

3. Water: This is another area where I flawed greatly! I didn't used to drink enough water for many years. And when I did, I did at the wrong times. My body cells being often dehydrated were not having enough water. That is one reason my skin cells were dry and looking shrinked. They were crying for water! And instead of giving them water, I gave them more body creams/lotions. When I learned the truth about the power of water and began practicing by drinking sufficient amounts before and after each meal, I began noticing a clear change. Today, my skin is back to life! Thanks to God and His simple laws of health. Sunlight, Temperance, Air, Rest and Trust in God are the remaining 5 factors which I now also live by. They are all contributing their quotas to the restoration of my health. I want to encourage you reader to live by the 8 laws of health and your health shall be renewed. Believe me, in these 8 laws lie the solution to ALL health problems.

Poem

What God Will Not Do.

by Fawehinmi Oluwatobi

To coerce, he would not;

To lie and himself deny

This not at all.

He does encourage to right

But for you the right he would

Not perform.

He gave His Son, but would not

Take Him for you.

He would inspire you to seek Him,

But you must do the seeking.

He gives us faith,

But it is ours to exercise.

He gives us a brain to perceive, to judge, to reason and to remember

But it is ours to maximise.

Hence say not that you forgot what ought to be recalled.

He gave us a will,

It is ours to exercise;

We choose good or evil,

To be foolish or to be wise.

Nothing is firstly automatic,

We choose to move or to remain static.

He gives us a garden,

It is ours to culture,

He gives us a new heart,

We must join Him that heart

To nurture.

He gives us seed,

He expects of us to breed.

He gave us a body not to idle

But to enable,

To strengthen by hard work,

It is up to us if it decays or gets blocked.

He gives us children,

He would not raise them for us.

Let not upon our minds prevail

The thought that God would raise our children for us.

He warns us ahead,

It is ours by His strength to heed.

He gives us wheat,

It is ours to make bread.

He gives us a land,

It is ours to care for and weed...

He gave man this earth

Not to destroy but to buoy,

To care for.

It is not that through the process

Of our doing, if we choose Him

That He leaves us.

No! That would be our undoing.

It is that His biddings are enablings,

He strengthens us as we choose Him.

God calls us with Him to unite

It is up to us to respond.

Transfer not your responsibility

To God,

He has His,

You have yours too.

God will never perform for you

That which you must do.

Jesus, the Abode

by Fawehinmi Oluwatobi

Jesus says, Abide in me and I in You...

Let us pursue the first part, “Abide in Me...”, drawing some object lessons.

The word “abide” means to “live in’’, “to dwell”, “to remain in a place”. This word is related to the word “abode” which is “a place of dwelling or sojourn.” We can call this a house.

What would we consider the most important rooms of a house? The kitchen (some call it the powerhouse), the bedroom, the toilet, the store, the sitting room or parlour.

Can we liken Jesus to a house we live in? I believe so. Let us attempt to and learn some lessons of dependence on Him, the most important lesson we must all learn.

Primarily, the kitchen is the room for preparing food. We can consider it one of the most inviting places because of the aroma it emits when good food is being cooked. Through the demonstration of His love Jesus invites us Daily Christ prepares meals of His word and invites us to His kitchen to eat. Jeremiah responded thus, “Your words were found and I ate them...” Jer 15:16 Jesus must be our Cook, our Source, the one upon whom we feed... However, we must go to the kitchen. If we do not go, we would not eat. This is our powerhouse. Many of us skip our spiritual breakfast and think we would have strength for the day.

Empowered by the meals we eat, we are able to meet with men and women in Jesus. This is the sitting room where guests are welcomed. Every meeting is sanctified by thoughts of Him, seeking how that others may learn of Him more. The Christian life never is inactive but welcomes even strangers, calls all to come to the Lord. The message of Jesus is, Come unto Me... Matt 11:28. And generously, we invite our guests to eat of the meal we have had. We even invite them to the kitchen or share a meal with them. Isaiah 55:1-2

The toilet is a room or enclosed area containing a toilet and a place to bathe. Does not Jesus desire to cleanse or purify or purge or wash us daily? See John 2:12-16, Ezekiel 36:25,26. As we feed upon the Word of God in the kitchen, we also would need to pass out wastes from the body in the toilet. Jesus invites us to bring all our filthiness to Him so He can wash us. Isaiah 1:18, 64:6.

What about the store? It is the place we keep items we would have need of later, be it a store for food or appliances. Are we daily committing all things into His care ? Are we laying up treasure in heaven? Do we also realise that in Jesus are hid all knowledge and spiritual blessings for us to always draw from in times of urgent need? See Col 2:3, Eph 1:3.

The bedroom is the place to rest and sleep at night, the place of love for the married... Are we not called to rest in Jesus and enter into deep communion with Him in the evening?

Is Jesus your Abode?

A Call For Help

M A N N A L I F E S T Y L E M I N I S T R I E S

A major project on our table is to build a small administrative building on the farm. This is to enhance physical presence on the property, and to promote practical training of students on the farm site. We think to fuse the fellowship auditorium with the admin building for space optimization. We are already in talks with an architect regarding the project. The building design has been laid out. Fund raising to execute the project is underway. An estimate of 10 million naira (₦10,000,000) was given to get the first half done. We call for men and women to give to this project as the Lord impresses you. We understand that God holds us accountable for every dime and pray to use every means judiciously and give reports as we advance. It is our prayer, hope and trust that the LORD will stimulate the hearts of men to rise up to the task at hand and to support this cause in anyway they can while there is still time to work. The night cometh when no man can work.

Calcium

Visit ucheepines.org counselling sheets for more info….

Perhaps the food element that attracts more attention than any other is calcium, largely because of the work that the dairy industry has done in trying to promote its products. Protein runs neck and neck with calcium, because of the same type of publicity effort. Most people are unaware that both calcium and protein are toxic in overdoses. Vitamin D is also tied with the promotion of the dairy industry, and it too is toxic in overdosage. The largest nutritional survey ever conducted in any country was made in Canada in 1973. It was discovered that by present standards most Canadians are short on calcium and Vitamin D in their diets; yet, there were no observed cases of dietary rickets! We must conclude that because we have set the minimum daily requirements too high, we are urging people to overeat on dairy products and other foods that are high in calcium and Vitamin D when in fact the need is far below that which is recommended, probably a quarter or even much less.

Because calcium is toxic to the body in overdosage, the body has a mechanism that prevents the over absorption of calcium. Only 20-30% of the calcium ingested in food is usually absorbed. It may be taken as a biologic law that the body utilizes nutrients more efficiently from the intestinal tract when in need of that particular material. Two groups of boys fed a standard diet showed a markedly different ability to absorb calcium, determined by the intake of calcium prior to the study and were able to retain only 103 milligrams of calcium per day.

The other group, fed on a low-calcium diet for two months prior to the study, were able to take up 374 milligrams of calcium per day in the experimental period, more than three times as much. The high-calcium boys simply excreted more calcium, or failed to take it up from their food. Persons who take in less calcium tend to utilize it more fully and less must be excreted. If one takes a high-protein diet, there is a greater excretion of calcium in the urine. A high-protein, low-carbohydrate diet soon triggers a mechanism for loss of calcium from bone. One index to the amount of calcium needed can be inferred by comparing human breast milk with the whole fresh cow's milk. Human breast milk contains 80 milligrams per cup, whereas cow's milk contains 288 milligrams per cup. Many nutritionists feel that we should supplement a baby's diet so that he gets the same quantity of calcium that he would get if he were being fed cow's milk. It seems more logical to believe that the amount of calcium that the human baby needs has been specially provided for him by his own mother, and no attempt at supplementation should be made. Calcium serves a number of functions in the body. One of its most apparent functions is that of maintaining firm structure of bones and teeth. More than 90% of the calcium in the body is stored in these two structures. Calcium prevents muscle tissue from being overactive and going into spasm. Because of its function in this way it is often mistakenly recommended for muscle cramps. But cramps that are due to many other causes than calcium deficiency can be relieved, or at least helped, by taking calcium.

In fact, calcium deficiency is an exceedingly rare cause of muscle cramps. Long before cramps develop in muscles, low calcium in the blood shows up with serious symptoms of other kinds, such as inability to clot the blood, inability to transmit nerve impulses, convulsive seizures, and the failure of certain enzyme systems. All of these factors are also functions of calcium in the body. In regard to its nerve transmission function, the regulation of the heartbeat is also very much concerned with calcium.

Calcium and phosphorus have a see-saw relationship with each other; when one is high, the other is low. Therefore, overeating of calcium can cause the essential mineral phosphorus to be seriously depressed. Conversely, overeating of such foods as bran and cow's milk with their high phosphorus content can upset the balance of calcium in the body

Representatives of the Father.

Before the end of March, it was announced that the United States Vice President Kamala Harris would be looking to visit some African nations with the aim of promoting the United States and strengthen its ties with Africa. The countries named are Ghana, Tanzania and Zambia. The bid to strengthen democratic ties within the continent is seen as necessary amid growing concern of the dominance of China in the region. China has become a major economic rival to the United States on the global market positioning itself at the centre of most countries’ financial sector. In the continent of Africa, China has become a leading driver in many of these economies and the United States looks to enhance its reputation by usurping the influence of China. Many delegates have been sent down to represent the U.S, the latest being the Vice President.

Speaking of being representatives, we are encouraged by Christ in Matthew 5:16 to “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.” Matthew 5:16 KJV

What better way to represent our Heavenly Father than by doing that which He has said? Obeying that which He has said and being a shining example for all in the world to reference. Just as Christ reflected a character that drew many towards the Father, in the same way we followers will endeavor to be a shining light representing our Heavenly Father to the world, that many may heed His call to attain that which will last forever.

WHAT YOU WERE NOT TOLD ABOUT CHINA

Problem of Addiction

by Chikaleke Victor

Drug-use rates in China are rapidly increasing. Presently, there are over one million drug users, two-thirds of whom are under age 35.

There are over 20 million drug addicts in China, the most commonly used drug being heroine. Smoking is a ticking time bomb - 350 MILLION SMOKERS CONSUME OVER TWO TRILLION CIGARETTES A YEAR!

There are 15 million teenagers in China that are addicted to tobacco!

The size of casino and gambling in Macau (in China) is said to be five times that of Las Vegas!

Satan is the chief author of ADDICTION to these poisonous substances. His goal is to destroy the mental faculty (the frontal lobe) of men so that they will not be able to think straight and make a firm decision for Christ. Oh, brothers and sisters! China is in Chain. Who will go to rescue these perishing souls?

Testimony Corner

by Fred Felix

One night, I had an acute stomach ache after going through the entire day without a pinch of pain. Earlier in the day, I had eaten a fruit new to me, Shaddock. This was my first time of eating this fruit and it was enjoyable.

After breakfast, I went about my daily tasks. But as night came, it was then this piercing ache started. For a brief moment, I wondered what the cause was. Not long I went to get some Activated Charcoal which I had learnt has adsorbing properties and can adsorb poisons in the body. I put two full tablespoons of activated charcoal into a cup of slightly hot water, mixed it thoroughly and drank until I was relieved. Simple, cheap, available, that is charcoal which I now refer to as Black Gold.

The Hand that Intervenes

Witchcraft Suspected

Summarised by Fred Felix

There were two women missionaries in the province of Lerida, going house to house to sell their tracts and papers. These women were determined to spread the truth in spite of many difficulties faced, one of which was a woman following them and dissuading the people from purchasing the materials they had to share, but to the glory of God, some materials were still sold to a few people.

They started on their journey to the next town with more determination to use every opening wisely. While on their way, through the hills and valleys, they both suddenly became very thirsty. This was so strange because they were not thirsty prior to this time; this thirst was so serious that they stopped to look for a place to get some water.

It was then a man called to them from his garden and beckoned to them to come down to his place. He asked them if they would like a drink from his well. They gladly accepted and drank to quench their thirst and rested a while, then they continued their journey.

The next day, they found out that the sudden thirst was divine Providence to shield them from their enemies for a mob was coming after them with stones, with the intention to kill these ministers of truth, but God shielded his own! The mob didn’t see them because they were turned away from the highway to the man that called to them and a high wall was shielding them from being seen. The mob thought these women to be evil spirits or that the ground had swallowed them up. God is good! The Bible says (the Lord is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeketh him) Lamentations 3:25.

A Poem: My Lawd

by Chikaleke Victor and Fawehinmi Oluwatobi

To be Lord is be King,

And to be subject to Him,

Is to be obedient to Law.

Hence, He is my Lawd.

Again, the LORD is my Lawgiver,

Therefore I call Him my Lawd.

He is my Chief Commander,

He speaks, He commands,

And so I obey His word.

He is my Grandmaster,

Hence I give Him laud!

He is my King-General

I delightfully kiss His sword.

My Director He is,

For He constantly shows me the way;

My Leader He is,

For He leads each day,

Yes, without fail.

My Instructor He is

For He teaches me to war and not to play.

Guess who is King?

It is my LORD who died to save me

Guess who is Prince?

It is Lord Emmanuel, none but He.

Guess who holds the scepter?

It is my LORD who has been and ever shall be.

He is the humble Chairman for every occasion;

The perfect Governor for every nation;

The wise Counsellor for every knotty situation.

He is my Head!

What an honour so infinite to be His tail!

My Lawd! Sovereign, mighty God, I am awed!

Give me your Law and I shall keep it!

By Your grace I shall keep it!

And so help me LORD!

The Greatest Miracle

The Greatest Miracle

Many are seeking for miracles of healing, financial breakthrough and the likes while losing sight of the greatest of all miracles that no human being can ever perform but God - the conversion of a human soul from Satanic rule to Christ's rule. Let us think it through together. Figuratively, where is the most chaotic battleground, greater than all World Wars combined? Where have all the World Wars emanated from? And where do strife and fights come from? Where do all sins such as hatred of God, loving money, sexual immorality, theft dwell?

Black Gold

by Marian Atolagbe

Activated charcoal could save your life. It was famously demonstrated in 1813 by French chemist Michel Bertrand, who swallowed 150 times the lethal dosage of arsenic trioxide (one teaspoon) -- and survived. He had immediately consumed a "liberal amount of charcoal" following the arsenic and it saved his life. Activated charcoal is the best antidote for poison known to man. Activated charcoal is known as a "super adsorber" of poison and today it is the first-line treatment in the majority of poisoning cases. The French Pharmacist, Touerey also demonstrated the power of charcoal, in 1830 he took 5 gm of strychnine which is 10 times the lethal dose. Then consumed a liberal dose of charcoal and survived.

The following are what make charcoal unique and powerful antidote for poison:

When charcoal is activated it:

  • Develops electrostatic properties – this an electric charge at rest.

  • A simple example of an electrostatic phenomena is the attraction of plastic wrap to one’s hand after it is removed from a package. Charcoal has that property.

  • One cubic centimeter of charcoal has the surface area of 1,000 square meters

  • Poisoning

  • Gastroenteritis

  • Gas

  • Nausea

  • Sprains

  • Detoxify

  • Chemical warfare

  • Water purification

  • Air purification

  • Diarrhea

  • Bruises

  • Gangrenous ulcers

  • Charcoal works best when taken upon an empty stomach. There is a 50% reduction of it’s effectiveness upon a full stomach. Charcoal should not be used on a regular basis.

  • Diarrhea

  • One heaping Tbsp. four times a day, Also with each bowel movement.

  • Vomiting

  • Each time you vomit use 1-2 Tbs. in 1-2 glasses of water. If this is vomited then administer the same.

  • Use a band aid or cloth as a poultice with charcoal paste that will cover the area of irritation.

  • Bee sting

  • Ant bite

  • Mosquito bites

  • Poison ivy

  • In the situation of a poisonous snake or spider bite, soak the bitten area in a solution of charcoal water.

  • Make charcoal paste

  • Spread on cloth ¼”thick

  • Place over area to be treated

  • Use plastic wrap over the poultice

  • Warmth increases the effectiveness of the poultice

  • Charcoal Paste

  • To make charcoal paste

  • 2Tbs. Charcoal powder

  • 2Tbs. Flax seed or corn starch or

  • 1Tbs Slippery Elm Powder & 4Tbs

  • of Charcoal powder

  • Add enough water to make paste

  • Use a band aid or cloth as a poultice with charcoal paste that will cover the area of irritation.

  • Venomous Bite

  • (1/2 C charcoal to 2½ gallons of Water)

  • Then cover with a charcoal poultice.

  • HOW TO MAKE A POULTICE

  • Make charcoal paste

  • Spread on cloth ¼”thick

  • Place over area to be treated

  • Use plastic wrap over the poultice

  • Warmth increases the effectiveness of the poultice.

  • Charcoal Paste

  • To make charcoal paste

  • 2Tbs. Charcoal powder

  • 2Tbs. Flax seed or corn starch or

  • 1Tbs Slippery Elm Powder & 4Tbs

  • of Charcoal powder

  • Add enough water to make paste

Other Chemicals

Charcoal works well in some cases of drug overdose and in cases of infant poisoning from household cleansers.

Things Charcoal Does Not Adsorb Or Adsorb Well

  • A strong alkali such as Lye, and also very strong acids

  • Iron intoxication. (Since iron is a natural mineral, charcoal doesn’t respond to it as a poison.)

  • Methanol (rubbing alcohol) or Ethanol (liquor)

  • Lithium

  • Some pesticides such as malathion & DDT

THINGS CHARCOAL ADSORBS:

  • Bacteria

  • Viruses

  • Bacteria toxins (When applied topically and when used internally,)

  • Inflammation (internally and externally)

  • Intestinal gas (taken internally)

Forms of Charcoal

  • Tablet

  • Capsules

  • Powder

  • Liquid

MAKE YOUR OWN CHARCOAL

Make your own charcoal

Activated charcoal is produced by controlled burning of wood. (usually hard wood).

After it is burned, it is then activated via pressured steam or pressured hot air, which enhances the absorptive abilities of charcoal.

Indeed God is true as stated in 1 Corinthians 1:27 “ But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;”

February may be summed as a time of money and fuel scarcities, difficulty and elections for a seeming Messiah in Nigeria. We have seen and heard of burning of banks and abuse of bank staff has become rampant. There have been fightings at fuel stations, extortion on various fronts has become a common theme as the merciless character of many that has been hidden for a time has been sparked to life; highway oppression has come to life in great numbers.

The trials of the last month have caused a shaking among the people of the land. In spite of all these happenings, it is important for all to know that this is only a mild test for us to prepare for the things to come. Now more than ever is the time to prayerfully prepare for the more turbulent. Overtime many have amassed riches, through either proper or improper means and have laid up these riches on the earthly projects. The banks have been the store house for these treasures. But then we see that “Treasure laid up on earth will not endure; thieves break through and steal; moth and rust corrupt; fire and storm sweep away your possessions.

And “where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Treasure laid up on the earth will engross the mind to the exclusion of heavenly things.” MB 88.3

In the wake of not being able to access earthly treasure gathered, many have been caused to fret, emotions have heightened and many would go to various lengths to retrieve these treasures from the authorities who hold them. There have been protests and riots. The counsel given by Christ is that, “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:” Matthew 6:19 KJV

All treasures laid up in heaven’s vaults are the most secure. in these vaults no form of rust or decay is present. Thieves cannot break into these vaults, its security is eternal. What treasures are then allowed into these vaults? “This treasure, which Christ esteems as precious above all estimate, is “the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints.” Ephesians 1:18. The disciples of Christ are called His jewels, His precious and peculiar treasure. He says, “They shall be as the stones of a crown.” “I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.” Zechariah 9:16; Isaiah 13:12

‘‘CHRIST LOOKS UPON HIS PEOPLE IN THEIR PURITY AND PERFECTION AS THE REWARD OF ALL HIS SUFFERINGS, HIS HUMILIATION, AND HIS LOVE, AND THE SUPPLEMENT OF HIS GLORY—CHRIST, THE GREAT CENTER, FROM WHOM RADIATES ALL GLORY.” MB89.3

“And we are permitted to unite with Him in the great work of redemption and to be sharers with Him in the riches which His death and suffering have won. The apostle Paul wrote to the Thessalonian Christians: “What is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming? for ye are our glory and joy.” 1 Thessalonians 2:19, 20. This is the treasure for which Christ bids us labour.”

How then shall we lay these treasures?

“Character is the great harvest of life. And every word or deed that through the grace of Christ shall kindle in one soul an impulse that reaches heavenward, every effort that tends to the formation of a Christlike character, is laying up treasure in heaven. Where the treasure is, there the heart will be. In every effort to benefit others, we benefit ourselves. He who gives money or time for spreading the gospel enlists his own interest and prayers for the work, and for the souls to be reached through it; his affections go out to others, and he is stimulated to greater devotion to God, that he may be enabled to do them the greatest good.” MB 90.1

And at the final day, when the wealth of earth shall perish, he who has laid up treasure in heaven will behold that which his life has gained. If we have given heed to the words of Christ, then, as we gather around the great white throne, we shall see souls who have been saved through our agency, and shall know that one has saved others, and these still others—a large company brought into the haven of rest as the result of our labors, there to lay their crowns at Jesus’ feet, and praise Him through the ceaseless ages of eternity. With what joy will the worker for Christ behold these redeemed ones, who share the glory of the Redeemer! How precious will heaven be to those who have been faithful in the work of saving souls!’’ MB 90.2

“If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.” Colossians 3:1. Blessings.
