Poetry: Name Changing

This is a sequel to the poem of last month, drawing themes from the process of a true marriage between a godly man and a godly woman.

Now, joined, the two are now joined,

Church and Christ becoming one.

She changes her name,

This comes naturally, it brings no shame.

She loves Him, He loves her.

Of Him all the time she is thinking.

On paper, in character Her name has changed and ever is changing.

She is now Mrs…

This is what she is known as.

People know her lover, they call her by His name!

And so was it at Antioch that Christ’s followers were called Christians!
