Lesson 2 - Self; a Merciless Waster.
Self is a merciless and brutal waster. It wastes your time, it wastes your energy, it wastes your effort, it wastes your resources, it wastes your opportunities, it wastes your relationships, and finally it wastes your life. What is SELF? Self is You. Self is who you are NATURALLY. Self is that Character and Personality that is proud and loves to have its own way. Self is that entity that hates rebuke and correction but loves affirmation and flattery. Do you love recognition and fame? Do you love praise and admiration? Do you feel sad when people don't give you attention or notice you?
If your answer is Yes to any of the above, SELF is still on the throne in your life. Every human being born of a woman was born with this nature called Self. Flesh, Old man, Carnal mind, are other words the Bible uses to describe this SELF. As long as SELF sits on the throne of our heart, the Holy Spirit cannot rule our heart. Self must be given up if Christ will reign in the heart.
